Stone pillars, layered planting and lighting turn the entry into the home's first impression after dark.
The pillars and the layered beds do the same job: they slow the arrival and mark the door. Planting is in layers rather than a single hedge, so the entry has depth from the street. Lighting stays low, on the stone and the leaves, which makes the door readable at night without flooding the facade. The drive and the door are designed together, so the car and the person arrive at the same idea of the house.
